I Now Own Some Secretariat Hair

    A couple months ago, I saw a really cool item online. It was a photo of Secretariat in the Winner's Circle at the Kentucky Derby, in a big gold frame, with some strands of his hair beneath the photo. It was very expensive, so there was no way I was going to just buy it.
    I (half jokingly, though I did really want it) sent it to my dad and told him it was what I wanted for Christmas. Little did I know that he turned around and messaged my fiancé about it and talked him into going in on it with him.

    I balled like a big baby when I unwrapped it earlier. Oh my gosh, it is SO COOL. I have a big framed photo of Funny Cide in the Derby, and a framed poster from Zenyatta's 2009 Breeder's Cup Classic run, so it will likely by placed with those in the upstairs hallway.

    I have a framed and autographed drawing with Secretariat, Seattle Slew, and Affirmed from when I went to American Pharoah's Belmont... just need to decide where to put it!

    That is an amazing present! Secretariat is my absolute favorite race horse. His story is incredible and he is a beautiful horse. I hope to own a descendant of his one day! :x
