Mushroom and Bay Interaction
-
Does Mushroom have an effect on bay horses enough to make it worthwhile to put into bay lines? Ive tried looking around in the search, and some of them do look like it does, but others don't, and I was just wondering if anyone could confirm or whatnot.ID# 30479

Mushroom changes the red pigment on a horse. Chestnuts show it best. Bay adds red to black horses, so it will show. But not as much.
I haven't tried doing a search, but I know I can see a small difference on my browns. I would assume the brighter reds of bay and wild bay would show a little more.
Livers show the biggest difference and look amazing with flaxen.45120 -
I love mushroom on bay and brown. There's definitely a difference. See these two horses are pretty much the say: regular bay hom sooty het DP roan. One us hom mushroom and the other is not.
