Showing Places
-
Referring to Classes with more than two horses in them like Regional, National, or Worlds.
If you have Horse A and Horse B in the same class, and Horse B places higher than Horse A. Does that mean that Horse B is better or is it just a dice roll on the places? Or would you need to show them in several classes against each other to get an average to tell which is better? Or if they both place first against each other equally but one has less points would that mean that they are pretty much equal?
I have shown a few horses against each other cuz I'd like to know which is truly better. One class A will win next class B will win. Its making the comparison difficult.Thanked by 1Riata -
Well what I would do is put them in two(or a few) classes together and whoever gets higher placings is a better shower... that's just meEasternShowBarn

Thier is a score given on every show result. You can just look at the scores.Need to contact me? Read this first. Only send me a PM for PayPal issues or if I ask you to. Otherwise, make a forum post. You will get a better faster answer by making a post.
I sometimes get busy and miss things. If your private message, question, etc. gets missed please ping me so I can follow up with you. I am also always happy to explain or clarify. (HAJ does not have a customer service email, please send me a forum message! )

It also depends on so many other things, differences between the horses. An older will have trained more, a horse with a lower PT score won't train as well (aka be able to earn more points in a show), a horse with a good PT but that came from a barn that forgot to train for several months, altered vs. intact, maybe one is a Great Show Horse, etc.
