✿ Introduce Your Stable ✿
-
I thought it would be fun to start a thread where we talk about our Hunt And Jump interests and gain an appreciation for the different ways that we each play this fantastically diverse game.
Introduce your passions! What is your primary focus, if you have one? What does your ultimate dream herd look like? Which horse(s) do you think best represents your stable?
✿ Personally, I'm a bootstrapping maniac (which many of you already know ☺). I have a dream team of very strong mares, they are my pride and joy! I'm getting pretty close to having my dream herd; the mares I have right now are some of the best I have ever owned, and I am so excited about my stallion. I would really like to see more diversity in the colors of my stock though, and more horses with PT Scores above 14.00 would be great.
✿ My horse who is most quintessentially "Kismet" is definitely my stallion KS Indulgence. He is what I would consider to be the ultimate culmination of my breeding efforts. His visible pedigree is mostly made up of horses bred by me, with infusions of some extremely high quality outside lines. At the time of his birth, he broke the server PT Score record. Oh, and as a bonus, he's my favorite color: Black Tobiano! I tend to eventually sell my stallions once they hit a certain age, but this guy is staying with me for good!

This is awesome Kismet! I haven't seen one of these in a very long while. :)
Greeting all! I am BlackWyld. I also have two other accounts, WyldWood and NyghtWyld so you can just call me Wyld if you like.
Here on the BlackWyld, I try to only breed for “black” drafts (Always E, no A/A+/At). The taller, heavier and shinier the better. My main line is the BBA (Black Brindle Army). It is a series of even bred lines where all foundation stallions and mares must be B/Red papered black brindle/chimera.
I am not actively breeding for brindles in later generations. I just decided one day to only use brindle foundations. Mostly because I like them but also it helps curb my breeding and buying mania a bit. ;)
I think, at this point and time I am most well-known for my silver black chinchillas. I am obsessed with chinchilla and probably all of my lines would carry it if I could afford it.
I started out breeding just silver black chinchillas with various fancy kit genes and such but have since expanded to include more fantasy genes. I can’t express how much I love my chins. :x
I also have some non chin BBA studs that I GMTed all fancy and adore. I had an Ice line which started with C foundation studs who have since aged out so I am trying to keep it going at higher levels and am hoping to eventually merge with my other lines.
I also have a small “black” liver and mushroom project that I have been neglecting.
My secondary love on the BlackWyld is my bootstraps. A significant amount of my time and space goes into my BS herds. I adore them and am so excited at the recent rise in quality that I have observed.
I have a forum thread all about gushing about bootstraps that I just revived. @Kismet - I want to hear all your updates on your amazing herd there! :x
I think Artamir is probably the best representation of my barn. I have much fancier studs but he encompasses what I love most in my chins.
He is a chimera I created for my birthday to remember my original two favorite studs Ithildin and Ilmen Ilumire. His two sets of DNA more or less mimic that of my beloved boys with just a few tweaks here and there to incorporate newer genes that were not available when I started my chinchilla adventure.

Hi, I'm Seaswell, and I'm a pixel pony addict.
I breed heavy browns with a mix of open and fantasy genes. I want to see all the combinations, and love getting new surprises. Because I'm more interested in mixes than scores, everything in my barns ends up in my bootstrap line above generation 5. I'll bump that up a generation when I can afford another large pasture, but for now, it's what I find most effective.
I have a hard time picking one horse that shows off my look. There are just so many options, but I think Shocked Sparkle, who I planned every gmt for, might be the guy.
Shocked Sparkle
He's a chonky brown with lots of little treats and all the potential.
I'm a big fan of straws and do a goodly amount of hand breeding every month. Because my Gen 3 and Gen 4 babies are where I see all my best results, most of my stock carries outside lines. I haven't had an in house only line since I gave up my Cherry Drop Dreams several months ago. And to be totally honest, I'm more interested in genes string than parentage anyways. I only even breed because it's more likely to make passing foals.45120 -
Hi, I'm Wildland Acres, and my thing is dark black based duns.
I am definitely most well known for my bootstrap herd, and I am very proud of the fact that mine goes back to before it was cool when uneven breeding was kinda the black sheep thing to do. They have been my main project for a while because I haven't had time to be worying about generations for a real life year or so, so they are the ones that encapsulates my look the most, dark duns with sooty plus, and I am working on trying to normalize DP, GP and ND1 into my lines too for a very rustic primitive look with nice pizaz. I want to figure out how to get dun modifier into the herd, but that hasn't happened yet.
Moelach the Terrible
My lined herd has been a weird just allowed to go thing lately that I have only been culling by quality, and the weirdest things have been popping up in it lately. I am a little too excited for my foundation stallion to age out soon so I can move my foundations out of pasture and start breeding my gen 4 horses finally.

Hello, everybody! I'm BlueValley, I've been here for a few real life years now. I fell in love with this game immediately, and a big part of it is this fantastic community!
%%- My passion is definitely cobs, I love the short stacked, stocky type! (That's not to say I don't enjoy the other body types). The genes I'm most passionate about are DP and sooty+ as the base components. I have a hard time resisting any pony that is hom DP with sooty+!
%%- My primary focus is three fold:
1.) short, heavy cobs in all my lines!
2.) mixing onyx, chinchilla, mushroom, watercolor, phantom, and most other closed genes I own, onto a cob horse where I can see the base colours (no maximum white expression). The secondary goal with these guys is to try not to interbreed too heavily, which can be quite a challenge!
3.) classic champagne cobs, that are hom DP with dapples and no white spotting. I have a very small group of these guys, and I'm actually working on a project right now to expand my foundation herd for this line.
This little dude is my prime example for 1.), just needs to be a little heavier!

I'm HTRanch, and I breed wild bay and brown heavies!
Back when I originally started the game I really wanted to start a brown herd, but finding brown starter stock was just really hard. I eventually discovered wild bays and fell in love with how much variety you can get out of a single base color! Even a few changes to sooty or DP can make a huge difference, which allowed me to enjoy my herd even while I was a beginner and couldn't afford any fancier genes yet. Add some splash M, cream, or appaloosa bronzing, and you can have a really wide variety in your herd without mixing and matching too much. Plus, no one was really breeding them when I started, so it was something that could be *my* thing :P Now they seem to be a lot more popular and it makes me happy to see others enjoying their own wild bays! Although my favorite bling to add to my base colors will always be satin and gulastra plume, I pretty much just throw everything at my wild bays and see what comes out.
I also have a smaller side line of mostly closed fantasy on a chinchilla base - my current goal in that line is to get every closed gene I own onto a single horse. So far I've gotten some nice chinchilla/plaid, chin/ice 9, and chin/onyx mixes, but it's a fun challenge to figure out which breeding pairings will have the highest chance of getting me the combos I'm aiming for each season.
In addition to color, I'm a pretty strict benchmark breeder. Culling horses and obsessively comp testing is my happy place (Am I crazy? Probably.) Although culling beautiful horses can be painful at times, it's what ensures that I'm able to get intact foals at higher generations (I just got my first crop of gen 8 foals!) I was really excited to get a *Gold filly at third gen last month. Although I don't expect such a thing to happen to me again, I'm excited to know that my lines are high quality.
My favorite horse is currently this gal - her mother was one of the first really shiny horses I bred, and so even though her daughter is lower quality than I generally allow, she continues to get fat on grass in my pastures :x

This is so fun, I love reading everyone’s descriptions of their barns :)
I’m CoppiLane, but you can call me Cope/Coppi. Im still a very small barn, but am hoping to make a name for myself here soon. I originally started back in December of 2018, but as life goes, things got crazy and I stopped until this last April..
I have always dabbled in a little of everything, just to play around and test each field. I have found that I am in love with black based anything, so I’m trying to create my first real line based off that. Right now I have three horses as my baseline, and are finished in the gmt lab, but just need chinchilla so I have to wait for it to roll through.
Although I am also a sucker for a good sooty buckskin with dapples, so I’m also trying to come up with another small line of buckskin hom chocolates with a couple other fun genes thrown in (kp2, dp, gp, maybe snow). It’s going to take a while to get that one off the ground, but I’m excited for when it does!
In these two lines I’m hoping to continue to get better papers/pt scores through the generations, so I’m trying to be strict with myself to only use pasture and even papered breedings.
I also have a goal to make them big and tall, so they’ve been gmt’d to 16.2 when I can, with the heaviest bone allowed, hoping to get them as big as the game will allow lol.
I also have some fantasy boys that I like to play and dabble with, so you’ll definitely see me advertising some with watercolor, warp, or axioms.
These four are some of my favorites and represent each of the kind of breedings I described above:
KCL Muscat ExPerf fin
Muscat is one I am very proud of, I gmt’d her from an experf black, and really gave me the idea to start this line.
KCL Just My Type SUP
KCL Fallen Chances 2G SUP
KCL Indo 2G SUP
Only two were actually bred by me, but they are all backbones of my goals :) -
Hi, my stable is ChrystalBlues on this server. I breed MoonBornChrystal horses. While my set goals have shifted a few times, I've mostly incorporated DP, bay, and have started to add Ice 9 to most of my herd. Over the summer, we had a special giveaway, in which I was given an amazing colt that has taken over my line. This is only his first season, but he's given me some humdingers that'll be the start of a new goal for my stable.

Hi, meet the Follies Fantasies herds. I did change my username in the not too distant past, some of you may know me as Towdolly or Towdolly's Follies. I don't know why it is that I'm so much more excited about fantasy colors than RL colors, but so be it--I breed flashy closed gene horses. I'm on a quest to own all of the fantasy genes. Right now I have 7 herds going, primarily all draft weight. Links go to searches of studs or representative horses.
Cherry Mocha Breve: named for the foundation stallion, this line was originally based on a cup of coffee (all black or brown foundations and a focus on chocolate, DP, S+, satin, and macchiato). Since then a few other things have found their way into that line (chinchilla, onyx, diamond sparkle, lace, and mushroom).
Ice: focuses only on fun ice/fantasy combinations and gives no consideration to size, quality, or generation. Colts who test superior and have two Ice genes will be bred one season and then retired or sold, keeping a constant stream of different genes flowing through the herd.
Mushroom: riding horses and ponies, originally founded on a black liver Freaky Friday with mushroom. Has since expanded from C/Yellow to B/Red foundations, including sooty plus, brown, and champagne, as well as chocolate and lace. Should probably rename as the Sable Mushroom herd.
Nacre: I like nacre best on gray appaloosas; this line of drafts has a strong focus on nacre, chinchilla, gray, and appaloosa.
Nexus: draft weight nexus, nacre, onyx, watercolor, pearl, satin, and KP2. I want to work on adding wrong warp as well.
Onyx: draft weight onyx and dun, now with DFP1.
Watercolor: draft weight line with watercolor, onyx, S+, pearl, KP2, and autumn. Want to add satin and maybe other phantom genes in future.
I don't know that I can pick one horse that is representative of everything, but this is the foundation stud from my current favorite line.

Hi! I'm pinkie2 on this server breeding Mistborn horses. I've used warmbloods but lately I've been incorporating drafts into the mix as well. I never focused on what I was actually doing until very recently and was just focused on getting a big enough daily pay to be able to decide what I want. I am leaning towards more and more fantasy and really enjoying all of the axioms and watercolor.
I'm also working very hard starting this month on my bootstrap herd and I'm very grateful for the kismet horses that I have to help me with that!
This one is just gorgeous! And my favorite wrong warp horse Jupiter Storms. I was trying to name all his offspring after plants and obviously ran out really quickly so I'm going to have to come up with some other stellar names. On the blackest wrong warps I'm also going with fantasy evil names. I'm open to suggestions on names for my axiom line of anyone wants to pm me with stellar names or evil fantasy names. I'm thinking a black wrong warp named Flagg is in order, as well as The Dark One, Dark Friend, Amaram, Moash, the list goes on.

Hi I'm Looper! Every time I think I'm going to try and get a direction, I keep circling back to Foundation cause I need a new shiny stud with as many pretties as possible.
My overreaching goal is a Legacy Project playing Concentration 64 with my herd. Non-repeating studs and as many of my boys and the Legacy studs I've been introduced to in a pedigree as possible.
These boys pretty much represent genetic and color goals though. :) I'm slowly moving towards boosted A/Blue foundations and I also breed pure lines of Freaky Fridays, Cherry Drops, CABM, Yule Logs, Liberations, Pretzels, Ghost of Christmas Past, and Diamond Age horses.

Hi I'm Windigo, and I breed for...well, everything I can get my hands on :)) I might have a slight(read huge) pixel pony addiction
My barns really look like I have no rhyme or reason to what I'm doing, but somewhere deep, deep down there's a method to the madness, even if it changes month to month lol.
My main focus is probably my bootstrap herd of DP with sooty+ and shiny genes. I started out with a single goal that was to have great liver chestnut boots, and I basically bucked off for a year on here trying to figure out how to go about it. Neither size nor shape matters in any of my several lines, cause I love to see the diversity, although I do tend to lean towards taller horses more. I started out way back when nearly 3 years ago with an A papered blingy dp stud and a ton of foundie mares cause it was hard to find a liver stud for my herd any higher than that back then. I've lucked across some since that have drastically improved my boot herd to the point that I'm ready to start boosting cause I've finally hit the wall that they can go up naturally.
My other bootstrap herd is pretty much open fantasy genes, with watercolor and the few closed genes I have sprinkled in. It's complicated to aim for a completely hom WTC, Nexus, open ice, phantom but I keep plugging away at it every season. Recently, I've gotten fed up with pt and quality in that herd, so I introduced my other boot studs to raise quality, but I'm losing fantasy genes lol. I just love the strategy that goes with planning this herd. The challenge is awesome!
My evenly bred lines consist of my Wayward snowflakes, started from my like minded RS. I'm super proud of this line cause I've reached consistent gold/star by 4th gen.
Then there's my Chrome line, it's tiny but chocolate KP2, satin, DP, kitM, sooty+, GP. I have an awesome g3 stud, Ruckus, that's everything I'm looking for in this bunch. I didn't start this line from a foundie I own, just an extremely lucky handful of straws that gave me some great fillies and an A papered 2g Colt. It's taking off well though!
3WA Ruckus CK2SADGS
My Frankenfantasy lines are all from 6 foundie studs, and they get combined together by gen 2 and see the outcome lol. Lots of phantoms, watercolor, wrong warp, Nexus, and open ice. These are my favorites lol. It's just the fun of seeing the outcomes of breeding. No two are the same. I suppose I could of fit more genes onto less foundations, but I have an impatience issue and I just gotta see what I'm gunna get lol.
I think lastly is my Freakin Trippy line. I'm loving DP mushroom with SplashM. This batch isn't past gen 2 yet so super new, but great fun to play with.
Wrong Warp is my newest obsession though and I gotta have ALL of the lovelies, it's quickly becoming my main focus.
With all my herds I focus on quality as much as I possibly can. I do a ton of hand breeding so I wind up with no pasture bonus on anything except my boot herds. My even lines, I breed gen 1 c/red and B/yellow if at all possible. It makes for more spelds, but my quality is better for it. Gen 2 can be red mares, but studs must be A papered. Gen 3 has to be A papered STS, and I aim for blue here, with a very few superior red mares that make the cut if they carry the right genes. Gen 4 must be A/blue superiors. Gen 5 is star/gold, with a few blue sup mares slipping by.
Here's the ones that best represent my goals I suppose.
This guy is going to get boosted very soon.

Salutations All!
This is BlackWyld’s secondary account.
I started this account because I absolutely fell in love the deliciously rich chocolaty tones of DP and Sty in browns, bays, and livers. Since such colours do not fit with the aesthetic of my main account it didn’t take long for WyldWood to be born.
This account is all about all bone sizes with Hom Sty and/or S+ and Hom DP in Livers, Browns, Bays, and Buckskins so all my foundation sires will be either Draft or Riding Horses and are guaranteed to be hom DP and hom S+ with the occasional flashy kit gene thrown in.
I really want to showcase the beauty of dark woody browns so avoid most dilution genes and things that would take away too much, with the exception of silver and the occasional cream.
So no pearl, champagne, grey, dun, roan, snowflake, and KP. No satin either! I try to avoid appy, splash and tobiano in my main lines but do allow the occasional mare carrying those things just for fun.
I do play with Mushroom and Chinchilla here too but no longer have any foundations.
I have just introduced GP with my new boys. I am dabbling with chocolate, starting at second gen, and am considering whether or not I want to introduce KP2 into my lines.
I originally started out with 12 C and B papered foundation studs who have all since aged out. Due to budget issues and a wish to take a stricter approach to my breeding quality but no overwhelm myself (which I do enough on the BlackWyld LOL!) I currently only have two foundation studs. A draft and a riding horse chimera whom I am proud of.
I now only breed B/Red papers at the foundation level, and have chosen decently strict benchmarks at each generation to keep my herd size manageable but the quality high. This account had been a bit of a mess this past year but it is cleaning up nicely and I am excited to see what the future brings for my even lines.
I also devote a lot of time and resources to bootstrapping on this account. (I just love bootstrapping so much!)
My bootstrap herd represents the same aesthetic as the rest of WyldWood so I mostly breed for Hom sty and DP in all shades of brown. I am a lot more lenient about accepting flashier genes in my bootstraps but I still want those dark tones to shine through.
My foundation boys best represent this account as the carry pretty much everything that my account represents:

And my original foundie studs best represent what I love to see in my Mushroom and Chinchilla Lines:

Hi there ^^
I'm SilverAleki. My passion is heavy horses, drafts and cobs both! I have 3 seperate lines with a heavy focus on Chinchilla as this is my very favourite gene. From the very first time I saw it I was completely in love and my foundation mare, SA CouldBeArgenta, even though she is too old to breed now, remains one of my favourite horses and features heavily in all my Chinchilla lines. My first line focuses on Chinchilla horses with satin and/or nexus. I allow both Het and Hom nexus and love the surprise of a Hom nexus popping up every now and then. I feel satin and nexus is a really vibrant, beautiful combination. I also have a few white patterns thrown in, namely W3, KP and S+ and a bit of snowflake.
SA Ivanger 4G
$SA Iskender 2G
My second line focuses on chocolate chinchilla's! I adore this combination. I love the way the dapples look with the chocolate. I've recently incorporated grullo into this line after the birth of the colt Silver Sundown. He is the only horse in-game with his colouring and I think he is utter perfection and I hope to breed many more of his unique, ghostly colouring ^^
$SA TheOneAndOnly
SA Silver Sundown 3G
My final line is my mushroom cob line! Inspired by the Mongolian Horses they are short, hardy, chunky, tough and are allowed in any and every colour with a focus on darker shades, lighter manes and Hom DP thrown in. The heavier the bone the better :D

Hi everyone. I'm Green Valley and I only breed the heaviest and chunkiest boys and girls.
I recently started narrowing down my breeding goals and I started focusing on all my breeding stock being over 16 hands and bone weight over 3. Now that 95% of my foals are hitting that threshold, I started to focus on color.
I have an appaloosa herd, a cremello/perlino herd, a frame/splash/white herd, and small herds of brindle and tobiano. All free of chestnut. I'm now starting to mix in nexus, axiom blue, and jellyfish. I'm throwing a lot of buckskins, champagnes, grullos, various roans, and some duns. I love mixing colors together to see what I get. I've put a cap of 30 mares in my pastures so I don't go crazy and get over my head. It also means my quality is really amazing. So happy with what I'm producing right now.
I'm also just starting my gold mares herd and I'm so excited to see what I produce next month!
It's really hard to pick a horse that represents my stables. But I managed to pick two. I bred these two and they are exactly what I'm looking for. They both pass the height and bone requirements, and they have beautiful color and some flashiness with their blankets and some sparkle with nexus. I wish Equuleus was a little darker, but pairing him with the right mares should give me exactly what I want. His first season is next month! :D

Hello everyone, I'm Ren! I tend to stalk the forums more than I post so I wouldn't be surprised if not a lot of people know me even though I've been playing for almost two years now. I lurk in the shadows and my relatively busy work/life schedule usually means I'm online during my weekends more than any other time. I primarily breed light boned appaloosas with a focus on large spots, in almost any color +/- other genes.
I prefer a simpler and more realistic look in most of my horses but have some fun with watercolor and a few of the other fantasy genes. I require darkening factors because I prefer the rich tones they bring out so almost without exception every horse in the herd has sty/s+/DP in some combination. I have spent the last few months really trying to organize everything in my herd so that breeding is easier for me and I'm so close to finally being done! I do even generational breeding with a focus on matching quality in later generations to boost intact numbers.
My favorite horse was Jack Sparrow (who has been gone for some years now) but many of his descendants are still in my lines.

Hello hello! I'm RunFarAway. I breed for black based Warmbloods.
My primary line started out as a bootstrapping line, but as I've been working that line for about 2 RL years the quality is about even. Almost every horse in this line is true breeding Silver Black Pearl Satin Sabino and also homozygous for Sooty+. PTs were hitting the mid 13's before I realized that I needed to inject some outside blood for the line to not stagnate. I get 100 foals out of this line each season.
My next line is a herd of Nexus Warmbloods. I'm working towards color consistency to achieve true breeding Silver Amber Champagne Duns as the base for Hom Nexus.
More recently I started a line of Chocolate horses. I decided to add in W3 to the black horses for some pizzazz.
My newest venture is a line of boldly colored Watercolors. I wanted to do something to include my SO in the game and he is all about bold crazy colors. I'd also wanted to get into WC earlier but didn't really want a new line until now. He is in charge of naming the foals of this line and he is very proud of himself after the first batch of foals.
I typically don't sell my stock, but am happy to help those new to bootstrapping or if someone is looking for very specific genes that my horses have.

Hello everyone I’m pest and I’m addicted to everything shiny.
I have super high standards in my even bred lines, focusing primarily on cobs & ponies but I have a little bit of everything mixed in. I’m focusing now on fantasy genes On DP and am having a ball mixing and matching The various genes together. Here’s a yet unfinished foundation project I’m working on:
F Casanova
My primary focus has shifted towards bootstrapping! I enjoy rabicabo on brown with white(literally any white gene) and have been adding pearl to complete my tastes.
This colt pretty much is the love of my bootstrap program at the moment:
My Silver Lining
He doesn’t have all the bling of some of my other horses but I adore him. Hopefully I’ll be adding satin/kp to this line Like my others and maybe if I get lucky kp2. We’ll see how my fantasy bootstraps carry kp2.
Speaking of my new fantasy bootstraps, they’re crazy, haha. Trying to breed up quirky colors is gonna be fun.

Hello! ^^ I'm Wolf, I only have this one account because I find myself losing track of others if I make them. I'm occasionally active in the forums, mainly with asking questions or sharing horses, and I'm regularly on in the evenings.
I'm a sucker for evenly bred medium bone horses, although I am beginning to dabble in cobs and heavy horses as well. In the past I bred hom pearls, appys, roans and brindles, but now I've discarded those lines and am focusing on my main passion: silver bays and buckskins.
I recently invested in copies of Chocolate and Satin to put on the foundation stud for my line, which is going to be working on breeding its second full generation mares next season! He's available for live breeding and straws by request.

He is my pride and joy, and I'm hoping to have little clones of him running around here pretty soon. For now, these guys are the ideal outcome, they're just lacking the hom Satin/Choc:

I breed for dark coats, dapples, and flaxen manes in that line, as well as hom Sooty/hom DP.
I also bootstrap/breed for dark, dappled, unpatterned hom DP/Sooty bays:

My main bootstrap line, though, is for black livers. Unpatterned and non-flaxen is best, but I'm still working out the color kinks:

If you're looking for silver bay, silver buckskin, bay or black liver/regular liver chestnut studs, colts, mares etc., I always keep the extra intact offspring even if I'm not breeding them, and would be happy to sell or gift them to you! Visit my "Foals" tab to see prospective kiddos, or the "Primary Barn" tab to see any I've already rejected and sorted through.ID 32206 | Wolf735 | Nightmane Stables
