They weren’t ready for this jelly…

You may not be aware but the BlackWyld is not a barn or series of stables. Not in my imaginings at least. It is actually a strange and beautiful realm populated by several herds of fantastical equine beings.
The western end of the BlackWyld is bordered by a glittering sea. Now, over the years, many interesting things have washed up on its stone and sandy beaches but no one expected to see a mysterious mare appear one moonless night, dancing where the waves kiss the shore.
She was like seafoam and shadow. Her coat glittered like starlight on inky waters. Images of strange tentacled creatures drifted across her ephemeral form while the actual living creatures they represented trailed in her wake, setting the waters glowing with their bio-luminescence. She frolicked and gamboled in the surf, never quite leaving the water’s edge and stepping fully on the shore. With a toss of her head and a bubbling whicker, she invited the horses of the BlackWyld to join her. The stallions could not resist this mare with her youthful gate and ancient drowning eyes. They cavorted deep into the night, leaping the waves and racing the surf with the mare always one skipping step ahead as if the water had no hold on her. They awoke the next dawn with sand and salt on their coats, seaweed in their manes and urchins tangled in their tails. The strange mare was nowhere to be found and they wondered if it had all been a dream.

BW BBA Jelly of the Night

The next eve, the studs returned to the beach as the sun began its descent, painting the foaming surf in the glorious colours of dusk. They had hoped to see the strange mare again but they balked in astonishment at a new fantastic sight. Foals! Fillies and colts frisked in the surf!
They bore undeniable resemblance to the gob-smacked stallions who stood frozen on the beach. Some were rainbow in hue, some silvery. All glittered with a strange luminosity and, like the mysterious mare from the night before, all carried the images of the strange tentacled creatures drifting across their coats.
They stared in shock for a few moments before they were broken from their stupor by the gleeful voices of the foals who raced towards them, inviting them to play. The studs could not resist such contagious glee and they all romped until the sun sank below the waves. As the last rays of light were swallowed by the dusky sea the studs turned for home, bringing the glittering foals with them to meet the rest of the herd.

Here's me Jelly Entry ^^ i put a lot into this guy :x he's my best project i've ever done! His name "Aurelia aurita" literally means "Moon Jelly" :D Edit: I think jellyfish are quite interesting! such amazing lil creature's that float threw the oceans! :D Lions mane jellyfish are HUGE though!

Her name is inspired by the delicate and beautiful Aurelia aurita, or Moon Jellyfish. I think jellyfish are quite graceful and fascinating creatures as they drift through the sea. They're living art and I hope I've conveyed that with my entry.

The Jelly Jumblers are a seafaring bunch who earn their keep by herding (or "jumbling") the smacks of jellyfish native to the isolated Jellatyn Atoll. Jelly jumbling is not for the faint of heart, as jumblers must evade the stinging tentacles of their charges while protecting their smacks from sea turtle attacks. Luna comes from a long line of jumbler ponies and is the roughest-toughest jelly jumbler on four hooves you'll ever find! Though her coat is covered in scars from tentacle stings, she is fiercely loyal to her smack and has been known to charge lurking sea turtles head on to protect her jellies.

MLM Jellyfish Rhythm

I've never been this excited about a phantom gene. I love jellyfish! And I love seeing everyone's jelly horses. (I swear he has jellies, but they aren't showing up when I post his picture. Anyone know what is going wrong? )
