Hey guys , so I have a question.
My mare got put in foal this year and she is bright bay, with nice little dots going down her face just off the centre line !
The sire is a stunning perlino tobiano , who’s coat shines brighter than the sun!
My question is , what colour do you reckon the foal is going to be ?
My mare is out of all bays , and the dad is from a buckskin/dun and white and a cremello dam.
Many thanks :) -
It sounds like you are pretty much guaranteed either a buckskin or Smokey black, since the sire is a perlino, with a 50/50 shot at Tobiano from the sire.

You can remove the possibility of smokey black if either of the parents are AA. Is the perlino colour tested? If not, he could be any of the three double dilutes with the information you've provided.
Palomino is also a possibility if both parents are Ee (or mare is Ee and sire is actually ee). Then 50/50 shot at tobi.Thanked by 1Ammit -
Yes , sire is colour tested and registered :D

What was his extension and agouti status? That will tell you if palomino or smokey black are a possibility :)Thanked by 1Ammit
