What am I missing that these two where not compatible

I think it was the frame. When you hover your mouse over the dam's frame gene, it states that two Olw genes are lethal. I *think* your baby inherited those..? Someone correct me if I'm wrong please.

Only the mother had frame so the foal could only have gotten one copy of frame. But yes 2 copies of frame is fatal.

I would say the foal probably inherited both white genes, being W20, Sab2, and the frame, and that bumped the white factor to lethal.

Mom has a large white factor, w20, and frame. Dad has sabino 2. Your foal got w20, sabino2, and frame and likely an extensive white factor, which would have caused an overload of white and the foal died either in utero or passed shortly after birth in a real horse. In game, it just leads to a foal not showing up in pasture or a notice when doing hand breeding/lab breeding.

I think that's cool that the game mimics real life here, but man the thought of that actually happening in the real world is so sad.

That mare is only three years old and must be four years old to breed. EDIT: was looking at the stallion! Ignore this!
