This guy takes the cake! Went to the lab to tweak him a bit once he tested Superior to sire and 3 gen benchmark. He's Hom chocolate, satin, and KP2, with DP, sooty+, and a copy of GP also in the mix. I'll likely take him back thru the lab later to add more things he missed. Oh I can't wait to turn him loose in a couple seasons!

All in all the lab has been very kind this season. I have barely had a chance to deal with my pastures.

I had a great breeding season this month. I was planning on culling 90% of what i bred this season in order to save up for a show barn. I managed to get one and this meant I could keep more babies. I have been turning over my pastures for the last few months to ensure the mares being used are more relevant and it really is paying off. I'm getting so many pretty babies that are meeting my standards.
This is my first gen 7 boy thats passed SBA. He is star papered. I can imagine that in a few months, I'll be getting gold/star at a much lower generation but considering I haven't been testing properly for a long time, I am still impressed. And to top it off, he even got a few nice genes too. Sadly, he got a copy of w20, which is a gene that really is kicking me now in the later generations but at least he got a little beard colour.

My fave mare this season definitely has to be this lady. She has that perfect sabino 1/2 combo with snowflake and a black liver to top it off. She is descended from a stallion I bought a while ago who has sired quite a few of her generation and has been surprisingly influential in my lines.

I couldn't pick just one show pony this season to show off. First is this devastation in the form of a colt. He was a lab baby and he came out brindle! I'd never had a brindle lab baby before. I was absolutely stunned to see him. Then I tested and saw he picked up all of the genes I wanted and I was practically dancing and then he didn't pass BA. What a kick in the teeth. However, he really is gorgeous and definitely earned himself a forever home in my show barns.

As if one wasn't enough, I lucked out and out popped a second serious prospect out of my lab breeding. Genes that I haven't got a stallion carrying yet. Absolutely a great looker and among my first ice 10 babies and then he didn't pass BA. Please sir, join the club of very expensively produced show ponies. :-w

Last but not least, honorable mention of the most disappointing snip. I was kinda upset by this one, no lie. Breeding a B stud who has been a good producer for me to a Red mare in pasture with a week of "bonus" gave me a filly with failed papers(?!) and all the shiny.
