It’s really dependent on where the previous sires placed in the %. Being superior means they are at least 2% higher than the other stud. And only a ton of comp testing between your stallions will give you an idea of who is where in the rankings, and where he could possibly fall.

His sire was superior, and an A, but coming out of a B stud that I see no comp testing on I would assume the sire is a low A (110-112% ish). So being superior would maybe make this guy, minimum a 113% if the sire was a 110%, which will not get you a star even with a full 5% boost. But if he happened to hit a 115%, I would think he could possibly hit star, but I’m not sure anyone actually knows for sure where that star threshold is.

All that I know:
-the second gen colt from moulder (in his lines) is superior to sire.
-his sire is STS.
He himself is STS.
He is AGA a 4th gen A papered stud that originated from an exceptional producer (that stud was superior to his own sire and so forth)

It’s possible then, that he could hit star. But since we don’t exactly know where star starts, it’s a gamble.
