So we were in the ER with Hazel all night. Like literally 10 hours all night. She has a lump forming at the top of her forehead in front of her soft spot. They tried doing an ultrasound through her, very tender, soft spot. That went as well as you can imagine. So they did a CT scan instead. Which she loved by the way. They wrapped the led vest around her tiny little body and then did a velcro thing, it looked like a giant swaddle. She went right out. Come to find out that she has a large amount of access fluid on her brain and her head is above the 99 percentile. Which her doc never told me at her 9m appointment. I guess each appointment her head has been significantly bigger than what her growth curve would be. And this can cause alot of issues. Like seizures, behavior, and feeding issues. She could start getting behind too. I dont know why this was never brought up. I'm going to work late because I needed some sleep, I barely made it to the bed after having been up for 36 hours. At least ita not Sophia again I guess... :((

I'm so sorry you are going through such an ordeal! Shame on the Dr.'s that they did not inform you of the anomaly when it first surfaced. I hope she'll be okay and there is a diagnoses/prognosis/treatment soon? and that you are able to get some rest as well...HJ2, Forest Server Player ID#25091 - DoubleMash Sunalta Riding Horses

I would absolutely be having some serious questions for the doctor, and if I didn’t get some good answers I would be filing complaints with whatever medical board you have in your state and changing doctors. That kind of “oversight”, if it can even be considered one, is careless, irresponsible and inexcusable. The fact there wasn’t even a comment about size being a bit large is troublesome, not to mention to keep an eye on it or to come back for further measurements sooner than normal. Big big hugs to you and Hazel, and hopefully you can get a good plan in place and the answers you need. This is in no way your fault or failure, how were you supposed to know? That’s why these doctors go to school, so they know! That’s why we pay out the wazoo for insurance and then still have to pay copays, so that they can inform us of these things that we aren’t aware of.Thanked by 1Amgr1992

Thank you guys :x he was my pediatrician and I'm kinda wondering of they weren't as through as they should have been because they are more focused on Sophia because of all her health issues. But this is not something that should ever have been missed. And I want to know why. I'm going to have to call and see if they can have the dr call me because I won't be able to make it to their 1 year appointment as I'm starting a new job on the 13th and need to be there for training

Can you reschedule their appointment so you can be there in person?Thanked by 1Amgr1992
