ISO high PT bootstrap mare(s)
-
I've been saving up for a while to put this request out:
I'm looking for a high PT score bootstrap lady or two, if anyone has any they'd sell. I'm not sure what they'd be worth, but I'm sure if you'd be willing to sell at all it won't be for cheap.
- at least 13.0 PT score, the higher the better (would prefer 13.5+)
- I prefer cobs, but would look at anything under 16.1hh and over 2.0 bone
- I have color preferences but this is highly secondary
Please let me know what you have and the price needed to make you part with them. Thank you. -
I would be willing to part with this one, if you're interested, but I know you already have one or two from my barns. so maybe you're looking to diversify more :)

I don't have any mares that're that high PT yet, but i do have these two that're 12.8 PT (both Gold):

I know they aren't 100% what you're looking for, but let me know if you'd like them - I received my entire bootstrap collection as a gift/prize, so the progeny are 2500 per. :)ID 49863 | Breeding wild bay drafts with TE & SNF | Muddling my way through bootstrapping -
@pfrsue, I do have a few absolute lovelies from your barn, one is the dam of my upcoming new stud boy, I am looking for a really special lady to send to him actually :) I'd love to buy that girl if you can spare her, she is perfect! Please do make your price though as if she was mine I'd value her extremely highly.
@darkpixe, those two aren't exactly what I was looking for, but they're really gorgeous! I would definitely buy them if you really want to sell but don't let my rob you of your high PTs as I already have a lot of the same and higher here. As Sue knows I've been avidly collecting! I haven't been playing for long but I'm only doing bootstraps so all my money has gone into them.
Also, I was paging through your bootstrap herd and I'm seeing mostly WBs, do you have a breed preference? I have some colts that are a bit higher PT than your studs and I'm looking to rehome some as I won't use them all, but they are cobs or short drafts. If you think you might use one, let me know so we can take a look. :) -
@DreamyMeadows, have a look at my herd. I won't sell a lot of my top boot ponies, but I usually do sell the cobs and drafts and I could do eggs or straws or just breedings for pretty much anything in my barns. Lots of horses over 13 PT. :)

I am completely non-discriminating on size with the bootstrap group!
That leads me to a question, though: with bootstrap, is the PT or the breeding ability of the stud "more important"? Like, if I had a low-star stud who was 13 PT, would he produce higher PT offspring than a high-star stud who was 11 PT? I'm pretty fuzzy on how that works :-?ID 49863 | Breeding wild bay drafts with TE & SNF | Muddling my way through bootstrapping -
I'm also still pretty much a novice @darkpixe, so you should possibly get someone knowledgeable to advise you there. But how I understand things is that the point of bootstrap breeding is to create stock with high PT scores to earn more money showing on the long-term as they train and keep adding points for longer.
Thank you very much @JustaSaddletramp, I took a look and found one draft more in the top echelons. However I see you got her from pfrsue so I assume she's a keeper! I have to admit I'm a little clueless as to the whole egg/embryo process as I haven't had a premium upgrade yet. I also haven't used straws to date as my few attempts at breeding without pasture bonus were very disappointing. I'm open to advice on how to make this work for me though as there are obviously many players using these features with success. -
@DreamyMeadows, she's up for you in my chat. :)--------------------------------

PM me if you ever fancy any of my stock. Always got good (small) bootstrap studs. -
@darkpixe Breeding ability is more important than PT and the higher star stud will produce better offspring. I have a few studs that come in at mid 12 PTs that are better than some at 13.5. I comparison test them so I know who is better. :)Breeding Tiny Bootstraps

I'd love to buy any and all of those you'd sell @DinaChill. Thank you very much.
'Better offspring' - meaning more that can potentially pass BA or more with high PTs? Or do the two go hand-in-hand? (My two highest PT boys did pass, didn't check the rest.)
This is very confusing. I don't BA much of my bootstrap stock and I've just been aiming for high PTs to create show horses.
Thanked by 1DinaChill -
Sorry I don't mean to be confusing :)
They do go hand in hand a bit.
The higher breeding quality stud will produce higher breeding quality offspring and higher PT offspring.
There are many factors as to whether or not they pass BA. I would not run mares through BA unless you are getting a lot of studs passing BA. I tend to run the colts through BA - as you don't need many of them and they can be show ponies if they fail.
As for the mares I will put them in one of Dinascar's sales chats for you.Breeding Tiny Bootstraps

Thank you for the explanation! Good to know i haven't been keeping the totally wrong boys intact. :)ID 49863 | Breeding wild bay drafts with TE & SNF | Muddling my way through bootstrappingThanked by 1DinaChill

@DreamyMeadows, I just happened to have a few extra GMT laying around, and it turns out I had a filly who wanted to be a big girl when she grows up. ;) What do you think of her?

@JustaSaddletramp, yes please I'd definitely love her if you don't want her....
but I was hoping to entice you into breeding more! -
I might have bumped up the bone on one of my top young colts, too. ;) I know several people who want some heavier boots, so I'll see what I can get with him.
Are you in any chats so I can get her posted for you? :)~*~ Justa ~*~

Um, use Bootstrap Breeding & Sales please @JustaSaddletramp
I'd love to see what results you get with him. Can I see a link? -
This is him, @DreamyMeadows. He needs more work, but he's going to have a 30 mare pasture of high PT warmblood girls, and he's almost draft bone. :)
