I have noticed that tiger eye doesn't show very well with onyx. Here is a search of all the tiger eye onyx horses on this server:

Onyx darkens eye color. The only gene that does.

Okay, so Tigers eye would lighten their eyes sightly but still stay darker because of the Onyx?

I wouldn't put it on an Onyx if you want the TE to show up, this gent of mine has both TE1 and TE2, and before I added the Onyx he had extremely bright yellow eyes (like a cat, hence his name). Now, if you look close, his eyes aren't black but very dark brown (kind of orangey if I move my laptop screen haha).
