I've been looking for a while and can't find a black draft stallion.

What generation are you looking for? Do you want solid black or would a black base with some patterns be alright?

Do you want to buy one or will you be happy just breeding to one? I found that there are no "pure" blacks for sale, but there is at least base blacks for breeding. Found plenty of black brindles, a few black appys, etc etc.

When you do a horse search, I suggest altering the colours and put E as a "must have" and e as a "must not have". That's what I did, only selected for stallions, and looking for those that are available for breeding.

Here's a herd helper for white 2 black, if you don't mind some pattern. However, of you make a stallion with this herd helper be cautious in your breeding as white 2 inherited with some other genes can be lethal with the right kit mutation load.

A Blue roan appy owned by Foundation Rescue, on sale for 2750. PT score is 9.9, C papered and consistent.

That is the darkest draft I can find, but it does have EE so will throw black if bred to an EE.

That doesn't search for black horses. It searches for EE horses.

EE horses will ALWAYS sire a black based foal (though not always a black foal). Crossing with an EE mare is completely unnecessary. :)

Have you found one you like? Because I just bred a very nice black 2g draft colt which I'd be willing to part with if you don't mind waiting a couple of seasons to breed. :) B papered, PT 10.1, consistent. Open to offers on price.
(I'm a little confused as to where his white sock comes from, by the way. Anyone?)

Found a great show horse hh and it took me 5 tries but I got one! He was the very last create left

I'm scared to test him but if he passes you can have him for 3k
