The main/bigger account needs the funds/IVs to do the transfer. It varies in cost depending on how big the stable it is eating is. Can check how many are needed by going to IV Shopping and scrolling down to your merge accounts option, it will show your stables name -# IVs that number is how many IVs it will cost to merge (I think they start at 30IVs and go up from there) Primary Barn and Pasture do not merge but any bought ones or the welcome pack ones do. However you should also automatically get a new 30 stall barn when merging
I cant recall if my barn just overfilled or if I had to move horses after the transfer and watch the remaining pixel ponies fill the slots in the primary barn as I was able to move them.
Personally if I do it again I will make sure my primary barn on my main is empty and that all stalls on the account to be merged are full in what other barns they may have so less movement will have to be made when absorbing them (even if that means waiting to merge and buying more barns on the alts)

What About Gene licenses?

They transferred no problem.

Gene licenses do NOT auto transfer per Ammit. Must talk to Ammit about those! (unless I missed her changing that in the last 2 months)

Then she most have changed it recently because I've seen multiple forum posts about merging where she has flat out said they do not merge.
