I managed to breed this very beautiful silver bay boy today and I think, but please correct me if I'm wrong, that he is also Hom DP?

SA Le Barrage 3G DP

This is his mother who is a hom DP black liver chestnut so one copy of DP must have come from her:

SA Winchesters Boom 2G

And this is the sire. For the foal to be hom DP (as I think he is?) I assume this means that he must have also gotten one copy of DP from the sire so that would make the sire het DP? Do I have that all correct lol? Im still getting the hang of all this so I just want to make sure I have all that right haha:

Yes that is Hom DP silver bay! Very nice :)

Here's an example of a FF turned Silver Bay so confirmed Hom DP

I'd say dad might be Hom DP under that Onyx too but I'm not too sure about how onyx interacts with DP Silver Bay yet so I won't swear by it,

Onyx slightly darkens the base color (the dark markings). So it's almost like another darkening gene. A het sooty het dp onyx chestnut kinda looks like a liver but isnt. Dad has some non DP foals though, so he isn't Hom DP. One of his foals is though, linked below is a hom sooty hom DP bay onyx. Compare to the sire he is noticeably darker.
