Trophy award question

I have a number of foals that made it on the leader board for pt in era 4 but only one has a ribbon. How do the trophy awards work?

Its the first 10 that get ribbons and first place gets a trophy. It will always switch a bit at the end because a bunch of people will last minute register before awards go out. A lot of my foals dont even make it in until after awards go out lol. But thats because Im a procrastinator and run out of time..
