Super Speedy Sneaky Secret Santa Squirrel ...... Missions - Postponed
-
*scitters into a Barn*
"Oh yes! I can do a bit of that for you."
*squeezes into a tiny gap in Another Barn*
"Why madam, let me give you a pinch of this!"
*scuttles off to a Huge Barn*
"I think you can do with a dash of magic."
*slinks off into a French Barn with a few half stall doors open*
"Ooo! Yes I will sprinkle some fairy dust in here! Bwuhahaha!"
*scurries into Another Barn*
"Pardon me Sir, would you like a sip of this lovely brew?"
*slips into a Small Barn*
"There there little one, I will help you."
*steals into the Elegant Barn*
"Le Gasp! Who of you do I choose to give this gift to?!"
*struggles to find a way into the Fort Knox Barn*
"Let's see if they notice how you have changed my dear."
*skulks into the Angry, Unbred, Blue-balled Stallion Barn*
"This will make all the ladies love you next season my boy!"
*sneezes loudly after entering the Quiet Barn and stills in fear with bug eyes ... sighs and shrugs as she gazes at her wand that has taken one a sickly color; points it at the big dusty butt of the solomn filly before her, swirls it through the air*
"This shall drive the guy next door mad for you forever."
*stands silently at the door of the of Gloomy Barn*
"You can do with an upgrade my dear, and I shall give it to you."
*side steps into the Barn containing one Flat-eared, sore and hard mouthed mare offering a sugar cube to her*
"This will turn you sweet, and bring you friends that will never hurt you."
*smashes herself to the wall after getting into the Barn of the High Prancing Show Stopping Colt to avoid being stepped on*
"Yes, I am your Fairy Godmother, and you are receiving a new coat to make you stand out more. Enjoy!"
*slides inside the Massive Barn, and finds the one stall that holds a tiny, tiny little filly*
"Sweet Potato! You will now be bold and have the genes to match!"
*slowly finds her way inside the Majesty's Stables, and tries to find the perfect horse for her next gift*
"Oh my my my! Yes! You are the quintessential essence of perfection. You shall have it all!"
*steps up to the door holding the Scottish Lord of Havoc himself inside, and swallows hard before opening it*
"Calm down laddie! All is well. Now, My Lord you can get a better handle on things with this gift I bestow upon ye."
*slipping her fingers around her thinning wand, walks into the Fairy Barn*
"Little wand, Little Wand of mine. I need you to work a few more times." She points the wand at the Unicorn, turning it blue; giving it a satiny appearance, Squirrel smiles and leaves.
*slumping to the floor of her own neighbor's Stable, Squirrel gently reaches out to pat the velvety nose of the Black Appaloosa standing an arms length away*
"My final gift is to you my girl, in lieu of my own Grandmother. She always loved horses with long flowing hair. It is small for a gift, but it will look best on you."
*slowly, after a very long and busy night of secreting into the Barns, Stables, and Stalls of friends and strangers to bring them a smile in the morning, Squirrel crawls across the floor to her bed, and climbs in* -
Aw, that's funny. :)) >:D<

I thought that would be a fun little read for some. The name just kind of came to me from my Navy days; when the higher ups (Chiefs and or Officers) have private meeting, it was called Secret Squirrel Meetings. It definitely is a tongue twister if you try to say it fast or multiple times.Thanked by 1RoseFlute

That's such a cute poem. And a sweet thing to do :)
-
..... And so far no one has notice any changes that I did to their horses (genetically, going on about a week). :))

I have so many projects I might never find it if I was one of them, so I'll just thank you anyway. :D~*~ Justa ~*~

I regret to announce that your beloved Super Speedy Sneaky Secret Santa Squirrel, and her missions are postponed for a while. I will explain why; first, she needs a glass of water, and you all ought to grab a seat. Some may want a blanket, a teddy bear, or even tissues; Squirrel's real life tale is filled with stress and emotions (so far this year).
-
Wait, the missions were ongoing? :V
But tell us why not, we're listening. :) <3 -

Alright kiddies, after a delay for food shopping, stopping at the in-laws, and a few other things, it is finally story time.
We need to rewind the clock to January to start this whole tale.
About a week after Squirrel's 32nd birthday, her remaining grandparent (female) was admitted to the Hospital due to shortness of breath. She was released after a week or so. The following month saw her return to the hospital again, where she stayed for a week, under going some tests. The Doctors would not allow her to return to her home. Squirrel's family was concerned for the Immortal Matriarch. She was sent to assisted living for a month. Squirrel's family got Hospice approved, and the Matriarch went to live with her 2nd son. He kept the family informed of her health, and Doctor appointments. Doctors said the tests showed Stage 4 Cancer. The matriarch's health and body were not capable of fighting the cancer, or handling any treatment. The news was very grim when the Doctor said "She has less than 6 months." Squirrel's Uncle continued to keep the family updated.
Squirrel's loving husband urged her to go home. At the end of May, Squirrel rented a car to make the 17 hour drive alone from New York to Missouri to see the Immortal Matriarch. She didn't want to go because she knew the Elderly wise woman would not be as Squirrel had known her. Squirrel felt obligated though to see her one more time before the chance was gone forever. Squirrel made the long drive home, and stopped at the Matriarch's house on the way to her mom's. Reality came crashing hard on Squirrel's shoulders; the Immortal Matriarch has become Mortal. The next day, she went to see the Matriarch, and fought hard to keep herself in control of her emotions. She wanted so much to scream and cry, but she refused.
The wisend Matriarch looked upon Squirrel, and gave a wary smile. Squirrel returned a hearty smile. Matriarch and Squirrel talked, but Matriarch kept addressing Squirrel as though she were her 17 year old sister even after a few correction attempts. Squirrel spent every day of the week at home visiting the Matriarch, and each day, her emotional and mental stress grew at seeing such a strong, spirited, worldly, dedicated woman reduced to short breaths, a weak frame, and a constant state of pain. The day before Squirrel drove home, she could not bring herself to wake the Matriarch to say good bye; she simply placed a long, soft kiss to her fore head instead as a tear rolled down her cheek.
After Squirrel returned home, she took her loving husband to the Doctor's office for a surgery. The Doctor took a large chunk out of Mr. Squirrel's backside, and informed Squirrel that she is to change the dressing and gauze every day until healed. A week after Mr. Squirrel's surgery, he trips and hurts his shoulder badly. After a long day at work, Squirrel takes him to the emergency room. X-rays show nothing, but they are told to follow up with the Family Doctor. All of June fills with worse and worse reports of the Matriarch's health decline, change of pain pills to morphine, and other things. All of June passes with Squirrel going to work, tending to her husband's surgery tract, and trying to keep her head up. June ends with a terrible note. June 29th the Matriarch passes away in her sleep. Squirrel gets a text from her brother at 2:59 am on June 30th informing her of the loss.
Mr. Squirrel and Squirrel rent a car to make the long drive to Missouri for a somber holiday followed by a funeral. Squirrel helps the family go through the Matriarch's house and belongings while tending to her crippled husband. On the return trip home, they have an accident in the rental car around St. Louis (dang roadwork). The day after they get home, Mr. Squirrel goes in for his shoulder MRI. A few days later, the MRI results are in, and it is very, very bad. Mr. Squirrel has 3 completely torn ligaments/tendons! The Doctors do not want to do surgery on his shoulder until he is healed from the first surgery; estimated heal time was placed in September. So now Mr. Squirrel will be out of work for the rest of the year! They have the deductables to pay for the surgeries, house rent, other bills, and normal things to live. The 2 car rentals have already put a strain on Squirrel's funds, and she is going to have to tighten down on all spending that is not priority or necessary.
Squirrel had thought to bring a smile to fellow beings with gifts and surprises in her time of fear and shadow. She wanted to do these things to help brighten her days that seemed to grow as dark as the coming night. Little did she know that the full darkness would come all too soon. Squirrel needs to postpone her gey little missions until life calms down a bit, and funds are in a more agreeable state. Do not fear, Squirrel will not disappear; she is just taking care of real life things, and will be on here like normal.
Now, it is time for Squirrel to blow her nose, and dry her very wet eyes.
P.S. @StrawberryMojito, you are very kind to put Watercolor on my mare, thank you! :xThanked by 1StrawberryMojito -

Oh Squirrel, I had a month like that a couple years ago when my mother (my family's immortal matriarch) passed. So much sympathy for you and yours! Sending you my prayers and a hug that may be virtual but is no less sincere than the real thing would be. Take care of you and Mr. Squirrel, and suggest a spray called Stopain to him for the shoulder. It does wonders for the pain in my shoulder that has messed up tendons because I've dislocated it several times.~*~ Justa ~*~

*hugs* poor squirrel that definitely is a rough go of things, I'm sorry for your loss of the Matriarch and sending all the good vibes that Mr Squirrel heals as quickly, properly, and safe as possible from both surgeries.Dabbler in EVERYTHING.
-
I'm so sorry for your loss and your rough year. They say bad things come in 3s though, so here's hoping that you're in the clear for a good long time after this. Hoping that everything goes well and your hubby gets back on his feet soon!
-
Aww, that's all pretty terrible. :( I never know what to say, but we're all here for you. :)
-
Love you Squirrel! The darkness will lift. Big hugs!

Anytime, Flying Stunner

So sorry to hear what Squirrel has been going through. My family had to watch my grandpa spend 10 weeks in a hospital after being hit by a car (and the person drove off and left him in the road) so i can understand your pain there. It's not easy seeing how much they can change. Grandpa passed away after his 10 week battle after he contracted pneumonia twice when they tried moving him to a care facility. Sending Squirrel my biggest hugs as i wipe away the tears from reading this. Squirrel, Mr. Squirrel, and the rest of the family in my prayers. I know it doesn't seem like it now, but it will feel better. It won't always hurt. It takes time, but the darkness will clear so keep your head up :xBluegrass Server: HayesStable - 221755

Im sorry to hear about what you have been going through, I hope it gets better

I'm so sorry for your loss. Here's praying that Squirrel & Mr. Squirrel find joy together while walking the path of healing.45120

I'm so sorry... No one should have to go through that.
My grandfather was in a major fire about 12 years ago. He was burnt completely from the waist down, and became wheelchair bound because of it (He also had third degree burns all over his body, but they weren't as bad as his legs). For 8-10 years he was in and out of the hospital/nursing homes/his own house. If you ever need someone to talk with, my inbox is open. No matter what time of day it is. -
Thank you for the support ya'll, it really means a lot to me. :x
-
And the bad luck just continues for Squirrel.
She had an accident on the way to work when some one pulled out in front of her. She applied her brakes, steered to avoid hitting the other vehicle, but still hit them. Now her truck needs some big repairs. Now there is only 1 vehicle between her, and her husband until repairs are made, a rental is aquired, or Insurance company totals the truck. Of all the things in the world, why, why does the bad luck have to swallow her up this year?! :(( :-SS :-t -
Poor Squirrel, thats awful. :( I hope things get better
