How does that work, necessarily? I currently have over a million, though with my daily bonus that will climb fast, how much I have will greatly depend on how many days have elapsed, but if Thunderstruck or Ice 9 come out on the gene sale I was wondering how much hb people wont want to put a copy on my new foundation guy. I really hope at least one of them comes out but it will take a few days so I have a more decent chunk to throw at it.

From what I've seen, most people seem to charge around 100k per dollar spent for the gene. :)

Idk how much they cost in actual money on the RGS, so I can’t give you a fair quote for purchase.

I see the roving genes as a few different tiers--

Open genes that can be created (nd1, prl) - about $2.50. nd1 is for sure, but I forget how much pearl is.

Open genes (KP, prl?) - $5 a copy, but of course 2 copies are needed plus 2 kit alleles for it to show.

Open genes that are extra shiny (Snowflake, most early ices, DP?) - $7.50

I don't remember any genes at $10, but maybe some ices are set there. Satin?

Closed Fantasy genes (Chn, Nb/r/g, Rainbow Riots?) - $15. These tend to be recessive, but my mind is fuzzy.

Other Closed Fantasy genes (later ices?, RRs?) - $20. Dominant and the shiniest.

This means we ought to compile a list of gene prices. To the conversation creator! :D I totally need to stay up later. :P

I know that there are some $40 ones, but those are few and not likely to come up as often

Oh really? I don't remember those, but maybe they're super rare ices now that I come to think of it. I seem to recall an ice event where Ammit made some previously private genes available to the masses. That was likely a one-off sale.
Of course, if you want a $20 gene to be homozygous, you'd pay $40 too. :P

Ammit has said that the prices are not tier related, so their availability has nothing to do with the cost.
