Confused. Why did she get spayed on BA?
-
Her parents are blue/a and she's gold. She's inconsistent, but papered better than both of her parents. I'm confused....

i think i heard somewhere that if they are extremely inconsistent, they will be altered. if you really like her.. maybe unalter and make her consistent?
-
If she's very inconsistent, thay can get her spayed. You could unalter her and GMT her consistent and she should pass then.#28036

She's inconsistent, but not very inconsistent. I probably won't unalter her. Maybe, if I have the gmts for it after this month. I suppose she could be a low gold and her parents are high a/blue so even though she papered technically higher, she's actually not?
-
Is it possible her showing ability is a higher hidden number percentage than her breeding ability? I’ve been wondering if that will cause a snip as well.
-
It doesn't have to say "very" for her to be inconsistent enough to be spayed.#28036Thanked by 1Ammit

That's unusual, especially BA, not even SBA. It must be her inconsistency though because obviously her breeding ability is higher, I mean I've had Blues pass with Gold/Star parents

She is like one point off from the "very" inconsistent tag.Need to contact me? Read this first. Only send me a PM for PayPal issues or if I ask you to. Otherwise, make a forum post. You will get a better faster answer by making a post.
I sometimes get busy and miss things. If your private message, question, etc. gets missed please ping me so I can follow up with you. I am also always happy to explain or clarify. (HAJ does not have a customer service email, please send me a forum message! )

I thought that papers were strictly to determine breeding ability and therefore breeding advice has nothing to do with a horse's showing ability. Obviously I was wrong. In all fairness, this this situation should have only occurred with SBA (IMHO).
-
Well since it's inheritable and lowers the ability of the foals it has to do with breeding as well.Need to contact me? Read this first. Only send me a PM for PayPal issues or if I ask you to. Otherwise, make a forum post. You will get a better faster answer by making a post.

I'd never even heard of Very Inconsistent horses. Took a look in horse search and found out why - looks like there are only 9 horses with that tag in the game right now! It's almost like a weird accomplishment or something.
-
So if you have the gmts, you can unalter your horse, make them perfectly consistent, and then they should pass BA!Producer of Volcanic Glass Drafts. Lapisobsidianus.
Prices are almost always negotiable.
On the look out for pointed createsThanked by 1kintara -
Very inconsistent horses used to be a lot more common before we got consistency testing. Plus the original consistency test spay/gelded any inconsistent horses I think, weeded out lots!
-
@Spectrum, I had one that I made consistent with GMTs because she was a high Gold when I had just started to get Golds. She ended up very inconsistent because she has a bootstrap filly with multiple gens of my BS stallion who is super high but inconsistent.

@NowandForever @kintara - Neat!
I dunno why, but it reminded me of what some people do in Overwatch. Every player has an ELO, which is basically a skill level number, that fluxuates with every win or loss in a ranked match. A few players get together in a team and purposefully throw matches to try to get as low of an ELO as possible.
I had a stray thought of doing kind of the same thing - starting a line with the goal of getting as low a PT/consistency as possible, but since really awful foals get snipped it'd be pretty much impossible.
