How do you sort on mobile?
-
Well I've basically been inactive for nearly a year now. I'm making maybe 8k for my daily bonus and own 1,075 horses which is just to many.
I'm only on my phone and am having such a hard time selling off unwanted horses. I cant even remember what I actually have.
Its so hard to sort them. I feel bad for letting them rot but when I actually look at them I feel bad for selling them :-<
I want to start over but I put years of work into my lines- even though they are wasting now.
Anyone have a trick for sorting ans selling on a little screen? The method I've used in the past is just click through and sell everything I don't imediately have an attachment too. Not sure if that is a good method though
It's ridiculous but one of the reasons I stopped playing was because the show button was moved. Silly how something so small can change someones entire experience----

I am very forgetful so if I owe you anything but am taking to long please send me a PM. I don't get on to play the game as often as I once did but I am usually most active during the 2nd and 3rd week of each month -
I have a “sales” barn (15 stalls) that I put horses in I don’t want to immediately sell back to the game/auction, esp if I’m hoping for more than 1k/2.5k back for them. I put the price in, and when they sell, I add more. To be fair, I only have about 500 horses, but I also do my best to sort ASAP after breeding season, so I don’t get too attached, or let them languish.
Ultimately, for breeding, I keep the ratio at 1:3 breeders:show horses, so any horse that isn’t immediately awesome gets spelded and thrown in the show barns. That’s helped my daily bonus go up, and lets me keep the lovelies even if I can’t breed them. -
Welcome back, ColorGood! It's been a while!
I decide what factor I want to cull for and use the search. For example, I breed for wild bay (A+). If I want to cull all intact horses with classic bay, I use the search, input my ID, deselect spayed mare and gelding, switch over to the base colors tab, and select "must not have" for A. Then I can just go through that list and cull those horses.
If you want to start over, maybe decide what you want to breed for and see if any of your old lines have it. That way you can still have some of your old favorites.ID 43830
It's nice to be back! :)

Welcome back! I know how you feel about working on mobile with the show button at the bottom of the page... It gets frustrating at times.
Now I don't have much advice the way of sorting to sell, because I keep everything. However I do have to go through and sort and shuffle my horses between barns every couple of seasons. Each season of foals typically gets their own 210 stall barn. Once they reach breeding age the intacts get moved into the appropriate barn (stallion, Gold bootstrap, blue bootstrap, etc). If the mare doesn't get bred during their first season they tend to stay in their foaling year barn.
As horses age out I shuffle the spelds into their own barns (typically by year foaled) which then opens up empty barns that can then be renamed for the next foaling year.
I do agree with BellaVoice, if you can take a small barn and fill it with horses you know you want to sell, then it could help you get through your herd in small chunks. This is dependent on knowing what you want to breed for.
Right now I've got a separate barn to hold the horses for my contest/giveaway so they don't get lost in the mess!Thanked by 1Looper -
Thank you all! I'm glad to be back. I've been away to long and have missed all of you :D
I think I'm going to try the barn idea! I'll organize my line sinton barns first then search each line for the right Gene's I breed for. I have so many barns and none of them are organized except my single show barn, so it's long over due.
If that doesnt work/help I'll be back for more advice.----

If you need a few horses to fill in a few lines once you reorganize, let me know what you need. I have to cut down on mares eventually, so i'd be happy to let you snag a few if they'd be useful.#28036

@Haltanny thank you! I'll try to keep that in mind----

Have you seen the new sellback option @ColorGoodStables ? The 10yo+ horses can go through auction and get a minimum sell price of the life time payout. Might help clean out some horses?
