The disappointing W20 - updated
-
4191480
I am sure this girl would look great without the W20 - wondering if she is hom DP... I may well take that pesky w20 off.
Hom mushroom, liver (maybe hom), w10, flaxen and all she looks is white :D
On the defense of w20 it does do pretty things with sabino:-

I have a bunch of these!
This lady has a white factor of none...
Full Whiteout
But w20 plus w2 has made her entirely white!
This one has a white factor of medium, with w20 and sabino 1...

Ahh well, what can you do? It's an adventure!Thanked by 1Dinascar -
@GeneverGinger With your first mare it's probably the grey which has made her white out so much. She probably had a few speckles before.
I actually find it really amusing when I get such white offspring, my line is all so dark and then out pops a new Ghost :)#4519 -
@Bourbon you're probably right that the grey was a factor, but she was pretty much white as a foal (hence her name) -- with grey, dun, and cream on TOP of her w2 and w20, she pretty much never had a chance. :D Her sire was an All Washed Up RS.
She's probably an unfair example for that reason though! The second lady is more like what Dinascar was talking about. -
I like W20, but it definitely can sometimes throw you a less than desirable curve ball.
I'm trying to amass a bunch of liver show horses, and I struggle with if I should keep horses like yours, @Dinascar. *Technically* they are liver, but they don't really look it or fit in with the rest. I usually end up not keeping them.
Here's one of mine that could be a twin of yours!

The great sadness of my life hahaha. White spotted liver chestnut pearl. Possibly hom DP, hom pearl, W10 and all hidden beneath her white coat. She is minimal white factor but the W10 and W20 combo got her lol.

Brown Appaloosa? with w8 and w20...
Such nice heavy bone, I hate to snip him. -
Update on the filly - she is up the top. She may have cost me 1 GMT but she looks great, I knew she would. :)Breeding brown/liver/black with white spotting drafts. If you ever fancy straws PM me. PM me if you need help with GE.
