How this game works, it is really just a scavenger hunt using the game search. I’ll give you a genetic string from one of my horses that you’ll have to find. Next you’ll have to find a horse with a 2 matching genes, then a different horse with 5 genes that match, and lastly another horse with 8 matching genes.

Example
I have a gelding that has the following genes. Tell me his name.
ee Aa CC nd2nd2 gg FF S+Ssty pp Kitsb2Kitm WF: None

Now, post a horse that has 2 genes that match the ones my stallion has. (Example: S+Ssty and Aa or ee and pp) ANY two genes that are the same.

Do the same thing, but with 5 matches.

Now find a horse with 8 matches.

Clarification
You have to find a Different horse for each section of the gene hunt. You cannot only use one, or two horses for matches. There needs to be three different horses.

Everyone who enters will get one free straw from one of my stallions. Stallions
If there is more than one winner, the winners names will be picked at random from all the winners. Then second place, then third.

Winning players will have the opportunity to receive a horse that will be GMT'd especially for you!
1st place will get your choice of 5 genes
2nd place will get your choice of 3 genes
3rd place will get your choice of 1 genes
Note: 1gene=2 alleles

1. Name
2. Picture link to the horse and state which 2 genes are the same

4. Picture link to the horse and state which 8 genes are the same

This will end the Sunday the 5th at rollover.

At the bottom put your ID, and which stallion you’d like a straw from. :)

Just to clarify: Do the horses for 2,3, and 4 have to be owned by you? and does it have to be exactly two genes match or at least two genes match? And does White Factor count as a gene? I can change my answers if the gene count has to be exact.

@magesvalley to answer your question s. The horses don’t have to be owned by me, or you. It can be any horses in the game that have matching genes. The only specific horse you’re looking for is my stallion, who isn’t hard to find.

The genes don’t have to be in the precise order as long as you have both of them, and they mach. ExampleI my stallion has the gene nd2D, it doesn’t matter if the horse you find is Dnd2, since it has the correct alleles it’s a right answer.

White factor does not count as a gene.

Hint. Make sure you have both parts of the gene written down, and matching. ExampleI: Rb is an incorrect answer, because it’s missing half of the gene, making it a incomplete gene.

Alright the game has ended. First huge thank you to @ConfluenceFarms for helping helping me make the contest and for sponsoring it! There were 7 entries total, everyone who entered got every answer correct so there is a name drawing. Everyone who entered can choose a straw from one of my stallions. For the grand prize I had my husband draw three names out of a hat.

HI! I'm here! It's Monday and my real job was NUTS! The 3 grand prize winners need to send me a PM and tell me

1. What type of horse you like: Riding hores, Warmblood, Draft, and if you prefer ponies or horses.
2. If you want a mare or a stallion
3. What base color you like: red, black, or bay
4. What gene(s) from the GMT lab you want on your horse.

I will use an Exceptionally Perfect herd helper as the base, so your horse will already be as good as a foundation can get.

A gene = 2 alleles. You can make the 2 alleles the same and get a Homozygous color/pattern, or you can make them different and get a Heterozygous color/pattern.

This is just for genes from the GMT lab. No closed or limited genes.
