That must really be rough, especially for daddy! I hope that she will soon adjust to the change.

I was lucky enough not to have to work when my daughter was a baby, so that I was able to be her primary caretaker. I'll never forget the day when I came back home from a meeting after leaving her at home with her daddy. He'd had to change her diaper (I was using cloth ones). I not only had to rinse out the smelly diaper; I also had to clean up the floor because the smell made him throw up. Needless to say, that was the only time I left him alone with a very young child. :D

As a long term nanny I will answer your fears. Your daughters are doing fine with family, some kids just have more needs than others. It will balance out as they grow. As a mom with 2 adult children, my hunny is still uncomfortable changing diapers, and needs much praise when he does it when helping with my kiddos when I have doctor's appt. Yet, he never balks at the opportunity to cuddle a clean kid. Being 1st time parents is hard. Your doing a great job.
