I had a really start to this year, but things are starting to look better finally. I had been mentally kicking this idea for a contest around for a while and I wanted to go ahead and try it.

What it is: Pick three offspring from one stallion, and post them and him here. Some of my 4-H girls will judge them, with the main criteria being the ability to sire a consistent look. They will be looking at bone weight, height and color.

The Prize: 250,000 HB first prize, 100,000 HB second prize and 50,000 HB for third. If there are enough entries to divide classes between fantasy or closed, there will be two sets of prizes.

The Giveaway: Everyone who enters can get a foundation horse (while supplies last). I have a collection of rank specials, and a few exceptional foundations with some fun genes such as DP, ND1, and snowflake. Also, a straw from my new foundation stallion. Rojo is a Shades of Pale who has snowflake, kit promoter and gulastra plume. If you can't do straws, I can make him available for live cover at the end of the contest.

What I always do is open two tabs. On one tab I’m going to the horses and saving their photo links. The other tab is open in the form on the page I’m writing. That way I can keep track of who I’ve put up, and who needs to get put up. I’m also not relying on the form to save what I’ve written.
