Well, i started getting sick yesterday (scratchy throat and coughing) and today is exponentially worse. Nothing horrible, i just feel like crap. Either constantly coughing or constantly sneezing. My left eye has turned into Niagra Falls. My throat is still scratchy. I just feel weak and light headed and i get winded just walking up our basement stairs to get to the kitchen! I hardly slept last night so when my dad and i got back from getting hay this morning, i ended up taking a 2 hour nap. To top is all off, i had to have my mom cover my shift at work tonight because i knew my boss wouldn't appreciate me spreading my germs to her or the people we had coming in for the workshop tonight (I work at a Board and Brush Creative Studio. It's a workshop studio that teaches you how to make old, vintage, wooden farmhouse signs. My mom works their too since her friend is the one who owns it so thats why she took my shift. It was a super slow night tonight). I just wanna be able to breath again :'( I also feel bad because i haven't gotten up to open the horses middle fence (I have a middle fence line that goes up during feeding so Angel doesn't steal Classy's grain) nor have i taken their blankets off today (blankets off during day and on at night). They could also use a bit more hay since i didn't have much to give them before we went and got more. Ugh... I am just really bad with being sick. I'm a huge baby when it comes to being sick lol. Gotta try and find the energy to go deal with the horses and i just realized the goats never got hay this morning... ughhhh... At least they haven't broken down their fence yet :)) Ok i think i'm done complaining lol I suppose i should muster up the energy to go feed the goats at least

You know what another good thing about this game is? Even when you're sick no body backs away when you tell them! I might get a computer virus from you, but the cold and flu are out of luck! :D

Well the horses got extra hay for dinner and it was really chilly today so left blankets on anyway lol I might be getting rid of some goats tomorrow but since one is CAE positive the person wants to read up on it and double check precautions before making a decision. Which is completely understandable :)

Ugh I feel you.

But I have got something else. Felt fine until 1. Then had a slight stomach ache but no problem. Went in to work for 3:30 and as I was sitting waiting to start (got there closer to 3) I was like um I don’t think I’m going to make it through the whole shift without feeling like crap so called my chief Op and said bens in at 4:30. I might be able to make it till then but then I’m going home because I don’t feel good at all. Got home thinking for sure I was going to puke but nope. Been sitting on the Throne all night between sleeping it off instead.

Texted my mom because I’d been at her house Thursday night/Friday and she’s like “oh me too. I’ve been up since 4am. I thought I was just having a reaction to the new pills my doc proscribed me Thursday. Good to know I’m actually sick.”

ETA: probably the only time I am glad my ;&;!@‘ neighbor can’t grasp the concept that sound travels up and echos when he has conversations in the stairway under my apartment bedroom with all his looser “friends” and he has woke me up and I had some early warnings. Accident avoided

I know the feeling! I got the flu even though I got the flu shot. I've had to be extremely careful since Tiny came back home the other day and shes already been sick and back in the NICU. And I dont want to give anything to Chunk either :( I've been sick since Thursday. It sucks

So sorry you feel bad. It's really hard having the animals and being ill. They still need everything doing and dragging yourself around outside carrying haybales etc is not what you need. Try to get some rest at least.

I'm not feeling too sluggish today but i just literally sneezed like, 11 times in a row lol (And i absolutely hate sneezing :)) I find it gross... this coming from the person who picked up horse poop with her hands the other day because it kept falling off the pitch fork lol). And i can't go a minute without hacking up a lung. And now it's my nose's turn to be Niagra Falls. Thankfully my throat isn't as sore as it was when i first got sick. I was gonna start working out with my friend starting tomorrow but i might wait a few days until the coughing is under control

Well i thought i was starting to feel better but now my throat is killing me again. But this time not a burning sensation, it basically feels like i swallowed a boulder that got stuck in my throat. Swallowing is hard and painful :'( And so is coughing, which i do quite often...

Man, poor you...have you tried gurgling salt with lukewarm water? It might..help? Just try at least, see if it does anything for ya. Also another thing that I do, (well it's been forever since I last had any kind of shot (years) or gotten sick but I think it did work for me.) I take a very warm washcloth (almost hot but bearable) and I wrap it around my neck and lie down with a lukewarm washcloth covering my entire face and I just go to sleep. It works for me but that probably is just me lol. Eh, worth a shot right? At this point you probably just want it gone now, but you can't. Poor you...
