While our community is super generous, a lot of the players that have horses sitting around have spent a lot of time, energy and money (game and real) on their herds to get them to the point they have extras to give away. Unless they are voluntarily running a giveaway or draw they deserve to be paid fair market value prices.

If you can’t afford to pay fair market prices there are lots of ways to increase your daily income without begging for free handouts.

Train and show all of your horses each week. The more combined total points your barns hold the bigger your daily bonus will be.

Enter your lowest pointed horses into the auction and search the auction horses by total points. Start at the top of the list and place 2,600hbs on as many as you can. Check back throughout the day and continue down the list as the upper horses got higher bids put on them.

Don’t get into a bidding war because that just means it will take longer for that horse to earn its purchase price back.

Once the auction is over sort your horses by total points and enter the lowest ones into the next auction and repeat. I usually fill my secondary barn with my high point horses and auction anything left in my primary barn. When I can, I buy another barn the biggest I can afford and fill that one too.

If you have less than 20,000 total points and your create horses are still being created with points sell them. I used to add 500hbs for every 100 total points the horse had starting at 2500 for up to 99 points. 3000hbs for up to 199, 3,500hbs for up to 299 points etc.

Set up a forum auction for the 8-900 pointed horses

At the end of the week auction whatever is left over.

Pasture breed all your mares for 500hbs and send all of the foals to the auction for a 2,000hbs profit.

Focusing on building a good size savings in your bank account before you start to focus on breeding will allow you to spend a little extra when you go to find breeding stock.

A good rule of thumb is 3 show horses for every breeder you own to help offset costs.


These are just a few of the ways to make money in this game.

That’s ok. We all have problems with horse addictions.

This game is realistic in that it’s a very long term goal setting game and Each player needs to set their own goals and figure out what some short term goals are to achieve them.

A few years ago Ammit ran a contest to see how we could improve new members experience by having members start a brand new account and see how fast they could build it up.

Using some of the tactics above and a few others I managed to buy 2 extra barns and a basic upgrade with a good chunk of money in the bank (100,000+ hbs) plus be one of the top 10 point holders in the contest. But it did take work. I spent a little time every day scouring the sales boards and auction lists for any horse I could make a profit on.

One of the lessons I learnt was that you can make a profit on almost any horse if you have enough time and some serve you better if you buy them up, train and show them and flip them before the end of the month (I bought a bunch of 17 year olds from upgraded players with under 30 points each, because they were being trained but not shown.) Most racked up enough points in that time to earn me more than the 100hbs I lost out on by reauctioning them off. 2 very notable ones earned 100 points each within the first week and earned themselves places in my barn until they passed unfortunately the one passed that week but the other lasted 3 or 4 months more.
