Aging out?
  • What age do horses age out? I feel like its 16 in which case I may lose my first fantasy stallion =(( I know hes not much to look at and hes kind of plain. But i was new and didnt think to add anything to him :(
  • When they are 17 they are at risk as they are aging to 18. Some people have had horses live up to 26. The oldest I remember having is 22
Breeder of any and all crazy colored drafts and RH horses.

  • I think the oldest I remember was like 34 or 36.

  • I collect at least a few straws from my special stallions when they hit their mid-teens. I have one awesome boy who is 22 and still kicking, so when he turned up at the top of my search results for specific genes, but was too old for live cover, I was very grateful to still have access to his straws.

  • He is 15 so I have at least one more year with him if I understand correctly?
  • The rest of this year and all of next year for sure. But even if he does live longer than that they can only breed up to 15YOs
Breeder of any and all crazy colored drafts and RH horses.

  • If he is 15 you have this season and at least two more, not one. When he ages up to 18 is when he is at risk to pass.

  • And no, they can breed through their 19th season, it is when they turn 20 they can't anymore.

  • Thank you guys!
