I have a basic upgrade and still had to train my horses for the week. On the page it said I had a basic upgrade and that my horses has automatically been trained for the week, but their names showed up in the bar and I was able to train them all.

It takes a while to kick in, I think nearer to 3am game time. It does do it instantly, but not at 12am

The servers run training a good part of Sunday. Think 3am to 3pm, so shows make better money sun night through the week. I always check if I've finished training if I do any showing on the weekend.

I know sometimes they can take hours to train and when I first got it a full day to train

They train by age I believe, so the older ones get trained first on down to the younger. It takes a good part of the day. I don't even begin to look at showing my bunch til around 4-5 Sunday, just so I know everyone has been through training
