The dun allele is dominant over nd1, so that's what you're seeing, a typical het. sooty grullo.

And here's another one who even passed testing! She's got Cream too, and shows as a Buckskin.

And as for the grullo, I think what I'm seeing is the pale mane and tail.

Yeah, Ammit said it was entirely dominant, but I've definitely been seeing a difference! I wonder if it's a bug or if it's only incompletely dominant?

I got one too, in this dun cherry drop. I didn’t notice til I saw it in her foal. This mare was created Oct 2. Was that before Nd1 came out?

I put my first dun1 on another Cherry Drop, so I don't think so? But then I did see it on a 18 or 19 yo horse in an Ammit Testing account.

I've noticed the nd1 slightly lightens the mane and tail, where Dun doesn't. So grullo have black manes, black nd1 have "off black" manes, and grullo nd1 appear to have "off black". I don't know if its supposed to show on a Dun, since dun is supposed to be dominant, that might be a bug. But it really looks neat.

I haven't gotten any naturally occurring nd1 (yet), but i love seeing everyone elses.

It seems like it because I remember a post about it being really really rare back when it was announced creatable, but it could just be because we're all creating more today. There's a psychological phenomenon where you notice specific things or events more because once you've noticed a few you kinda keep an eye out for more.
