Why Is He So Dark? -solved-

Could anyone tell me why this foal is so dark in colouring? He tested as a chocolate palomino but I've never had a chocolate palomino appear this dark in shade before. I think its quite a pretty shade I'm just not sure how I got it haha. His tail is also quite silvery looking. Is this the result of him being homozygous for DP? Or is he just an odd shade lol? Thank you!

He is Hom DP ! Basically think Black liver but instead you get super dark chocolate in the pals when they are Hom DP

@CeffylDwr thank you so much! I've never had Hom DP show up in a chocolate palomino before so I was a bit confused. I decided to try a similar cross using the same sire as the boy above has and a mare that is the sister of the dam of the above colt (so very similar genetics) and it gave me this haha. I def think the Hom DP assumption is correct. Thank you for your help it is very much appreciated ^^
