I think the main forum is the best place for questions that can wait a bit on the answers. That way you have the COLLECTIVE knowledge of everyone to draw from. The chat room thing can definitely help with real time responses/conversation, and will help in that way, but will NOT replace the forum. Especially if no one else is in the chat room at the same time you are!
