Egg Collection Limit
-
Hey,
Planning to do my first serious egg collecting next month since I have to switch some pastured mares around. How many eggs can I pull in one season AND still be able to breed the mare? I do not have the money to mass flush. Thanks. -
Just to add to what Maribo said, do not leave them in pasture or live cover them. Once they have been bred that way, you won't be able to pull any more eggs every 5 days. You will have to wait until next month.Thanked by 1AntarcticPhantom

And be careful, 'cause they will still show up as available to breed via live cover or straw, and if you use them by mistake they are done for the season.Thanked by 1AntarcticPhantom

Clarification on the "5 days."
If you pull an egg on the 3rd of the month, you must wait 5 full days--4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th--then you can pull the next egg on the 9th.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

One last question: there's no time limit on eggs unless you put a time limit on them, is there? IE: you have to OPT to make them expire...?
-
Correct. If you don't set an expiration date they stay good forever. The one exception is if the horse has died, has no living descendants and gets removed from the archive.Breeding high quality Sheldasen horses.
