Anyone play Dwarf Fortress?

I've been taking a break from my horses for a bit and decided to pick up this gem again. After hearing from my SO that not many of his friends had even heard of Dwarf Fortress, I got curious as to how many of you have heard of it and actually play.
If you've never seen dwarf fortress want a good idea of how Dwarf Fortress is played, look up Boatmurdered (Has quite a bit of swearing in it so be warned if that's not your thing) Also note that boat murdered takes place in one of the earliest builds of the game and features have come and gone since then but the spirit of the game is the same.Be not afraid to ask questions. You're not the only idiot in the room.

That's so awesome. My SO and I are currently building a fort and trading it back and forth every other in game year to see how much of a mess it becomes and how fast the dwarves die out.Be not afraid to ask questions. You're not the only idiot in the room.
