I'm looking for a very specific stallion. I just lost my very precious rooster, Russell Crow, today. He was my baby and taken from me by an accident. Even with vet care he didn't make it. :( I miss him terribly, and I'd like to have a horse here to commemorate him. Perhaps start a line of beauties in his honor.

He was a chocolate Orpington, a VERY big boy. So I'm looking for tall, heavy boned drafts. I don't know exactly what gene combo would be best to get his rich chocolate coloring with lighter accents.

I'd love to see anything you have for sale that might match. I'll include some links to pictures of my Russ Russ to give everyone an idea.

Im sorry hear your lost. I to had special guy. He was merle mini Cochin. He wasnt just a chicken to me.
Hes not a draft but he very tall. Has creamy look plus he have white tail. Look like Ross had some white end of his feathers.

Your boy is beautiful, but I have my heart set on a draft to represent my Russ. He was a big, heavy boy and nothing else seems quite right.

I don’t think if this is the sort of colour you’re looking for but I have a couple of liver draft boys who might suit?

Actually that foal is wonderful! He reminds me of Russ after the fall molt, when his plumage would be brand new and he would be a rich chocolate with light undertones. He was always bleached to a lighter color by the sun after a few months. Oh, I miss him already.

Oh, such a gorgeous boy. It seems like liver chestnut with pangere might what you’re looking for, possibly with sooty + instead of hom sty.

This lady is not mine, nor is she a draft stud, but it’s an idea of what that color would look like - het DP, SstyS+, chestnut.
