Why am I paying an extra 4% on barns in the IV shopping area? When I go to IV shopping and scroll to buy a new barn it used to tell me nothing, then it said I pay 2% on barns, and now it's 4%? Going to double check FAQ but why do we pay "interest" on stalls when buying new barns? Will it keep going up, and why? Instead of the usual 40 IVs for a 120 stall barn, now I need to pay 41? :-?

Kamcontest.. I feel like a dope.. apparently they got pushed to my package pasture? Didn't know I had one of those, I had checked my regular pasture.. I just searched for a horse I had for sale and found their location.. JEEZE.. sorry to make a useless post.. I was just so stumped there for a while.

It’s a surcharge for everyone with more than a certain number of stalls. Since those of us with huge show barns can basically churn cash, it helps keep a few of us from creating gigantic show barns and skewing the economy of the game (more than we already do). The percentage will keep on going up as you buy more and more barns. I pay more than twice as much for barns than a new player. It does NOT affect real money barn purchases. The change was introduced a few months ago.

It starts once you hit 1000 non primary barn stalls. :)

Here in HaJ2, where I have over 2000 horses and a fair number of empty stalls, the message I'm getting is this

You have 4875 non primary barn stalls
You pay an extra 52% on stalls.

On HaJ1, where my horse population is 5,262, and, again, I have a fair number of empty stalls, the message reads

You have 8545 non primary barn stalls
You pay an extra 102% on stalls.

Ammit keeps coming up with clever (and necessary) ways to assist those of us who are pixel pony hoarders in keeping our bad habit under control. :D

Thanks for the solid number Paradise. I’m sitting on 990 right now, confirmed my suspicions. Next purchase will be my first 1000 stall barn so I get it at the base rate, haha.

Ouch, just checked mine after purchasing a couple 1000 stall barns in the June sale.

You have 10940 non primary barn stalls. You pay an extra 133% on stalls.
