New year...new herd?
-
So I've been thinking about selling most of my herd off to work in a new direction. Rebuild my bootstrap herd with my star papered draft and keep only my fantasy genes, closed genes rank specials and big buck earners. I have a bunch of new genes that I want to play with and a bunch of gmts are needed to finish up the lines i have planned with the new genes. Any opinions?

I just got done doing a huge purge of my pastures. I think I sold 120 or so mares because I wanted to even out my lines :). I say go for itThanked by 1Amgr1992

It will be a huge hit to my show bonus, but I want to start breeding up in my lines, and for awhile I had warmblood and a sport pony stud for my bootstrap line, which defeats the purpose of breeding drafts! I'm not sure how I should do pricing or anything yet

If you want to try a new direction I say go for it. Keep anything with points though and geld/spay to keep for show ponies.SALVISTAR PERFORMANCE HORSES

@Salvistar I will be selling pointed just because I'll be creating goals and keeping anything 400+ and auctioning or selling the rest to build up my points with younger stock so I'll have them for longer :)
