I hope to add splash M to a foundation Stallion in honor of the coffee habit I gave up to afford gm tokens. But I can't decide on the best color Stallion to start it on. Black? Silver bay? Cherry drop? Red dun?
What base colors are you considering and why?

The darker the better for me, though I have to say if you’re looking for DP as well, I can see a cherry drop being absolutely gorgeous with it. :)

I did macchiato on a classic champagne dun and a yule log of that helps!

I second the vote for dark colors - it creates a nice contrast. This is my black and white foundie mare and I love the black / macciato interplay

This has got to be one of my all time favorites - a brown appy. She has greyed out as she ages, but she was very loud in her youth!

Wow - I can see that the Slash M does lighten the whole coat a bit as well. I can see why you might want to start out with a dark coat. I am thinking Blue Roan, black, or brown. Though a sooty Wet and Wild or Cherry Drop could be cool too!

Home sooty hom DP wild bay! I put it on a FF filly and made her wild bay. It's gourgous.
