Red Papers?
-
What exactly does it mean for a horse to be red papered? How does it effect their value?
One of my Red Papered Mares:

This is copied from the FAQ:Mare Papers
◾Failed: The mare equivalent of a stallion's "Showable Only" result. This mare has no place breeding
◾Yellow: This represents basic/foundation level breeding ability
◾Red: Exceptional foundations and many 2nd generation mares are Red-papered
◾Blue: Only exceptional foundations that have been given 5% breeding boosts can expect to see Blue papers. Otherwise, these are sometimes bred in the 2nd generation, and often in the 3rd.
◾*Gold: This is the highest a mare can paper. You normally will find this, albeit rarely, in boosted 3rd generation lines - most often in 4th and beyond.ID# 47364
Breeding for all version of black drafts using chimera foundations.
Help me build my black brindle army!
Always looking to buy B/Red foundation brindle drafts in black, blue roan, grullo, classic champagne, etc.
I can be very scatterbrained and forgetful so if I don't get back to you in a decent amount of time just poke me.Thanked by 1SummertreeFarms -
Mares bred from C/yellow foundation parents are commonly Red papered. Your mare is a typical second generation, red paper. At this generation, it really doesn’t affect their value as it’s expected, and many breeders will accept third gen mares to paper red as well. But in the higher generations, it’s typically snipped for a show horse.
