His mom's a brindle--I had heard brindle doesn't pass to foals in real life so I was pleasantly shocked. :) He auto-gelded but I'm okay with it. Neat that he happened at all!

He is neato! From what I understand, brindle isn't known to be passed on in-game either although breeding brindles seems to increase the odds some.

Brindle is caused by a mutation. So there is a very small chance that any foal in the game can come out brindle. There is speculation that having a brindle parent does increase the chance slightly.
