Do you own the gene? You cant breed Nexus without owning the gene since its a closed gene.

Actually according to the FAQ, Nexus is a Limited Gene, not a Closed Gene.

"A limited gene is not normally createable on the "create a horse" page. It is rarer than a rare gene and can normally only be obtained via the GMT lab or purchased with real money. There is no restrictions on who can buy or sell these genes. You do not need to own a foundation horse with these gene or otherwise follow any restrictions to own this gene."

Whether a user wants to sell someone a gene they had to pay real money for is a separate issue :) but technically it is allowed.

(I don't own any Nexus but I've researched it because some day I'd like to also.)

correct not a closed gene as I have some and the gene is not marked in orange as the closed genes are :)

I will not be offering nexus again. Axiom will be around again in the future though. :)

Ooo Axiom is so pretty :D Does owning one axiom gene allow you to buy any of them intact? Or do you have to buy each (r/g/b)?

Summer in, there are some Nexus buddy chats you can request to join, and some horses are already listed there. Axiom you do have to buy each color separately.

@Summervine you have to buy each colour of axiom to be able to purchase an intact horse of that colour. So for example, I have an axiom stallion who has the red and blue axiom variations. I can buy any intact horse who has red, blue or both but I cannot buy an intact horse that has the green axiom variation, even if it also has red or blue. Does that make sense?
