Spring wet weather is here and I am celebrating with some WATER!

::WATERCOLOR R^wt::

Watercolor converts the normal red and black pigment layers into rainbow color layers. The more pigment variation to start the more colors you will see. Agouti based colors, duns etc will give you the best results as you see the most pigment variation on those. Sooty + highly recommended with these. Only one copy needed to show.

Plain Chestnut

Bay Dun

Silver Black

Double Dilute Champ

Sooty + Buckskin

-$40 for set price applies only when applied to a single horse.
-Rainbow Riot genes are closed and can not be shared with those who do not purchase a foundation.

As someone that's fairly new, how does this work? If it only needs one copy to show what is the benefit to two copies? I would really love this gene, but I feel safer asking questions first!

@Amgr1992 Having 2 copies means all foals will be at least heterozygous for the gene and guaranteed to show the gene.
Buying only one copies means all foals only have a 50/50 chance of getting the gene.
Unless of course you bred your horse to another Het or Hom horse with the gene,which would increase you chances.

If you can afford it I would go hom but het is fine as well :D

it takes a little while to process, don't worry. :) When he does have the gene, he'll have the GMT sign at the bottom telling you it was added on.

His color did change. If you want something more bold you will need to reroll him. You chose a very diluted horse so it may take a few tries to get a bold color.

@wendolyne if you want solid like this I would go with more solid colours like chestnut or black (or Smokey blue roan like the horse above)
But you may have to re roll the portrait till you get the right color :D

Another quick question from the newbie! So I know in order to buy intact you must own the gene. But what about if they are altered? Can they be put into auction to be bought? Or sold for that matter?

Snipped foals can be put in auction but not on the public board. Though can also be sold via Buddy Chat

Intact foals can only be sold via Buddy Chat :)

The instructions of the page give you the full info about what is allowed. You must not have any horses that follow the rules.
