    So I just bred two conversation hearts tattooed horses. They both had OlwO but the foal didn’t receive it?

    Each horse only passes on one of their two genes. This means that the foal had a 1/4 chance of getting both copies of frame (and dying), 1/2 chance of getting one copy of frame, and 1/4 chance of getting no frame.

    If you have the time, I suggest looking up Punnet Squares. They're a tool in genetics used to guess what an offspring would get.
