Do I test my mares in both?

Use SMA you have it unlocked and you want even harsher testing.Need to contact me? Read this first. Only send me a PM for PayPal issues or if I ask you to. Otherwise, make a forum post. You will get a better faster answer by making a post.

It says I have to upgrade

It says you have to be a level 5 how do I find out what level I am.

It looks like you have a free account. There are two upgrades, Basic and Premium. You can find out all the information about them under Upgrades in the left menu bar.
Level 5 is the older term for the Premium Upgrade. It costs $7.50 per month using a PayPal account.
The Basic Upgrade can be bought with Investment Vouchers or real life cash. It has some nice additions to what you will be able to do in the game, but not as many as the Premium Upgrade.De gustibus non disputandum. "There's no arguing about tastes."

If you don't have it unlocked (if you don't have an upgrade) you can't use SMA, but you can and should, use MA (Mare Advice) which is on the same page, you just don't click the underlined text. Just click the box that says Should I Spay.
