Any auction etiquette/tips to keep in mind?
-
I've been making a lot of creates lately for the candy horse event, and have been listing the ones I don't want to keep as I make them. I was wondering if listing a lot of horses for auction is considering spamming? Is there a range that's considered acceptable per day or anything like that?
And I'm realizing now that I should probably have been using the HH catalogue when pricing them. For starting bids, should I use a certain amount below what is listed as the average sale price?
I also saw it mentioned somewhere that adding important info to the names of sale horses can help, I try to put the HH in the name but I'm not sure if that's always useful? Are there other things like genes that I should consider adding?
Thank you! -
There is a search feature so people can pretty easily narrow down what they are looking for vs scanning the main auction page.
I don't think entering a lot of horses would be considered spamming. One person can only have a max of 20 bids at a time, so if you have over 20 highly desirable rank specials to sell, staggering end times may get you more bids.
For HH pricing you can use the catalog to price if you want, though that is not always super accurate and is only an average. If you are auctioning a highly desirable RS and enough people are bidding you should get a good price. If you feel you aren't getting a good price you can always pull from auction or just put up for sale at the price you want to get. The Gift Exchange is coming up in December that is often when people are looking for the less common RS creates to purchase and give as gifts. Horses that are unbred and can be GMTed are usually worth more. RS prices can fluctuate a lot. One week a horse may go for 500k and the next week you can't give one away.Thanked by 1forgottenland -
Oh I didn't notice there's a cap on total bids, I'll keep that in mind. Thank you for all the tips!
