Chimerism
-
What is the likelihood of a chimera foal out of 2 parents who have display chimerism and have both have a 50% chance of passing it on to offspring? Because i bred multiple chimeras together with those statistics and i tested all of the foals and not one came out with chimerism..so I'm a bit confused to say the least

Ah, slight confusion on the 50% there. So chimeras have two DNA strands, not one, right? The 50% chance refers to the foal having a 50/50 chance of inheritance for either strand. Either the game picks strand A to pull the foal’s genes from, or it picks strand B. It won’t mix and match.
The actual chance of getting a foal that itself is a chimera is something closer to like a one in 1000 chance or so? I’m not sure the exact numbers but it’s much more rare. You can slightly improve those chances by having chimera parents, but it’s still far away from being common.ID 45703 | he/himOpen barn policy - no closed lines! Oh okay thank you for elaborating. I was so confused lol. Do you have any advice or anything i can use for future reference?

No worries! Just ask on the forum any time you’re confused about anything, that’s what we’re here for!
I believe lab breeding (from embryos and etc) slightly increases the chances of chimeras as well, but that’s the most expensive way to breed so keep that in mind.ID 45703 | he/himOpen barn policy - no closed lines!
