Unless someone is specifically looking for that sort of thing or it’s a Rank Special, the tattoos rarely contribute meaningful value. Lifetime payout is still going to be the determiner 99% of the time.

Do keep an eye out for people asking for that specifically: i.e. “I am looking for black expros” would be any black horses with a tattoo that gives them exceptional producing/exceptionally perfect. They might sometimes offer to pay more in order to get what they want. However, it’s not worth hanging onto horses solely in hopes of someone needing that.

For now you’ll do best selling for points, and keeping ones that are good for your own herd. The real value of those tattoos come from what they offer your own breeding program and what genes you’re looking for specifically :)

And if you’re only looking at making money, your long term goal should be show ponies - established barns with 1000+ show horses can make well over 100k-300k+ per day. That’s where your income will come from once you’re able to get there!
