Trying to think of a breed name...
-
So my barn is Silverborn. I know there's the term "gilded" for covering something in gold. Is there a similar term for covering something in silver, or forging with silver? I would like to use something related to that in my breed name, if i make one.

vermeil might be a fun word? Not exactly what you're looking for, but adjacent.

Yeah, vermeil is an option (silver that has been gilded with gold), and while "gilding" traditionally means with gold it can apply to other metals too. It seems "silver plating" also works. Arguably "silvering"/"silvered" would be a good answer too, as would "silver-clad".
In terms of breed name, I think "silvered" would be closest in feel? Or perhaps silverbred, to play off "born and bred".ID 45703 | he/himOpen barn policy - no closed lines! I'm always selling straws and eggs from anything I have that catches your eye, don't hesitate to PM me and ask! -
"Sterling" could work as well, or if you want to nod to the periodically table you could do some derivative of argentum?
