How do y'all advertise your studs for straws/live covers or horses for sale? Have you found it's easier to just put them up for public sale/stud and hope someone sees them or do you make a forum thread? Or if you use a buddy chat, what's the best way to do so?

Also, for those of you who don't advertise as much but do tend to look through forum ads/buddy chats/etc: where do you look for what? Do you ever use public sales/stud lists?

(I'm just super curious about how other people are doing their own things haha so just trying to figure out what everyone seems to find works/doesn't work!)

I rarely advertise my studs anymore because in general, I don't seem to generate a lot of interest, so I've sorta stopped. If I do advertise them I make a forum post as it's easier for me to keep track of.
When I look for horses I usually check the forums first and then do a regular horse search to see what turns up if I'm looking for something specific. I've found that a lot of people are willing to sell straws if you contact them asking politely - even if it's not listed on the horses page.

I occasionally highlight someone who is going to age up to 3 or 17+ on the forum, so I can share a cutie. I also tend to open my barns during June and December for gifts. Otherwise I just answer pms, because I'm always willing to share.

When I do post, the most important info is Who is available, If your doing Straws or Live cover or both, Their genes with closed ones marked for easy notice, How much, Till when.
