Yet another DP question

This fella is obviously liver. Just wondering if it came from sire or dams side if anyone can tell. I'm usually pretty good at guessing on DP, but brown throws me for a loop lol

Daddy is carrying it- I’ll bet money on it. I checked his progeny and he has several other livers out of non carrying DP mares.
ETA- his babies are gorgeous by the way!!
Editted again to add this- this is what confirmed it in my mind: this liver red colt out of a homozygous red mare
