Turn off auto breeding?

Is there a way to prevent pastures from auto breeding on the 15th?

As AgainstTheOdds says, having no stallions in the pasture is the easiest way. Because stallions do not get any bonus from the pasture (it's only the mares that do) most people keep their studs in their barns showing, and only put them in the pasture for the brief moment that they're going to be bred toProducer of Volcanic Glass Drafts.
